Crash into Me

First of all, I just want to thank everyone for the prayers and for the support as I am dealing with all of my family issues. I have an update, turns out my grandpa had five or so units of blood transfused into him, and he seems to be pretty stable at the moment. It is hard to get updates because of the time change, but that seems to be the last update that I have gotten. I have felt all of your prayers over here, so I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart.
The lord is so wonderful. He can do the unthinkable, when we think there is little or no hope, the Lord can turn anything right upside down. I feel like the Lord has been challenging me in so many ways, one I feel like is that he continues to remind me that HE is the one who is in control. One second I have plans or an idea and he can change that all around and lead me down to a different direction.
The beautiful land
I have to say, how overall I am so happy that the Lord has taken me down this road. I have met so many new people, I have gone so far out of my comfort zone, but the Lord continues to give me the strength. Every day is a different challenge. Today has overall been a wonderful day. We are making BIG progress with the Bible Study lessons. So far on rough drafts we are on lesson 9! However, we are producing by the end of this week solid copies of lessons 1-6 (lessons 1-5 are the actual learning lessons, 6 is a review lesson.) Kathleen and I are busy busy little bees with editing, and page layout. Today the four of us had our first meeting about when we are going to have the finished product, and we made a layout of what we need to accomplish to get there. This week Kathleen, Chris, Karen, and I have a lot to do, but we know we will make it!
It is so amazing to see these lessons really being produced. I again, did not realize how massive of a project this was going to be. Every little kink needs to be worked out. Me personally being a perfectionist, it is not easy either. Almost every read through that I make, I catch some simple mistake and fix it, no matter how many times I read them, and I always am fixing something.
On top of all this work, the weather has just been splendid! The mountains of Bamenda are currently pouring! We hear loud crashes of thunder and see distant strikes of lightning. I am just overwhelmed with the beauty over here. Being from Grass Valley, I never really learned to treasure natural beauty until I moved to Southern California. Being here in Africa; it is just a luscious, vibrant, breathtakingly beautiful place. I am so glad that I have been able to truly appreciate being in this country. I begin my days with seeing a beautiful colorful sky, and I end the night falling asleep to the sound of pouring rain. It is just so amazing.
The Road Home (to the Jackson Compound.)
This week, over here in the Jackson Village Kathleen and I are painting our room, we are getting our hair done (again..) and for the BIG news! Faadi is coming back, and she is not coming alone! We are getting a new member in the family, her younger sister Miamu! Miamu will be living here so that she too can have an education like Faadi. It is going to be a PACKED house people. Thank the Lord Kathleen and I have our own bathroom!! There is going to be 8 of us total! (SEVEN GIRLS! AND ONE CHRIS!)
Miamu knows little English, so it is going to be a big transition for everyone in the house. I have been praying that it will be a smooth transition for her, I know that it can be pretty intimidating to come and live with strangers..but to not really know what they are saying on top of everything…going to be a very big challenge for her.
I apologize for the lack of updates, it has been a tough week, but I feel like I am slowly coming out of the funk that I was in. I just continue to give the Lord thanks for bringing me here, no matter what my circumstances are, I need to continue to keep my gaze onto the Lord, and I need to just have a heart of Thanksgiving for Him giving me another day to bring honor and glory to His name.

God is the king over the earth.
Praise him with a Psalm!
God reigns over all nations.
Sitting on His holy throne.
The rulers of the world have gathered together
They join us in praising the God of Abraham
For all the kings of the earth belong to God. He is highly honored everywhere!
-Psalm 47

How we praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms, because we belong to Christ. Long ago, even before the world was made, God loved us and chose US in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. And this gave Him great pleasure. Ephesians 1:3-5
God's beauty.

Lord I thank you so much for leading me to Africa, I thank you Lord for selecting me to reach out to Children who may not know you. I pray that these lessons that we are putting together will be used as a key to reach out to those who are lost. I pray Lord that us here in the Jackson Village will continue to seek your will for our lives. Lord I thank you for my life, I thank you for blessing me with so many amazing people. I thank you Lord, I thank you Lord. I love you Lord. Your beauty is seen in EVERYTHING and in EVERYONE.
I wish all of you a wonderful day,
Sarah
